Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. — Matthew 13:44

No one finds buried treasure without looking, AND looking in the right place.

The yearning for more in life is God’s gift and finding Christ is God’s answer.

Mustard

Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof. –Matthew 13:31-32

Jesus told parables to both illuminate and obfuscate at the same time — enlightening to those willing to listen, confusing to those without time or inclination to care.

Here, Jesus emphasizes the importance of small beginnings. God isn’t interested in starting big but in continuous growth. It may not seem like much at first, but that’s ok. Start with a little understanding, a little step of faith, a little consistent time of praying, a little Bible reading — and do it faithfully. Soon it will grow and provide shade not only for yourself but others, too.

Then the King will say … “Come … take your inheritance … the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.

Then he will say to those on his left, “Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.” – Jesus (Matthew 25:34,41 NIV)

Manufactures go to sometimes ridiculous lengths to ensure people know to whom and for what their products are intended.

If a product is used in a way clearly not intended, the liability rests with the user not the manufacture.

Heaven and Hell have their intended purposes, too.

Hell was created for the devil and his angels not for humanity; Heaven was prepared for us. Choosing to ignore the manufacturer’s warnings places the product liability on us not the manufacture.
