“There are those among us who say that pride is a demonic activity. I could almost wish they were right…We could simply cast out “the demon of pride” and see a person permanently delivered from it.
We all know that this just doesn’t work … pride is not a force without us–it is a power within us, and no one is exempt…

“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.” – Acts 4:13
Christ’s followers have often been considered “uneducated” and “ignorant”. It is not usually true, but so what if it were?
God doesn’t glorify ignorance but neither is he impressed with how many letters are after our names. We are all the same size to Him – we, too, should take that view.
The apostle Paul, a great learned man, made a conscious effort to not appear “clever” but to present a simple message – Jesus and his gift.
“For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. – 1st Corinthians 2:2″
