“You can hurry speaking, but not hearing”
Ken Wilson, pastor and author of the book, Mystically Wired wrote those words in the context of hearing God through nature, but I sense a broader application.
Listening to God, anywhere, can’t be rushed.
We can pray fast, but hearing him may take some time, patience, and a willingness to hear at his pace. Holy Scripture puts it this way,
“The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. – Lamentations 3:25-26
