I am enjoying today’s gadgets — an electronic Bible to hold as many versions as I want, including all my study notes, commentaries, with large enough print to read yet small enough to fit in my hand; a pen that can save every stroke (no more writing on Twinkie wrappers or paper napkins); a world-wide soap box (Blog).
Yet, it’s all fluff! I, really, don’t need any of it! Yes, some things are easier but am I more productive? Does it help me be a better person or make better choices?
What we really need comes from God. The apostle Peter writes:
“By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life.” – 2nd Peter 1:3 (Living Bible)
The great heroes of faith throughout the world did, and do, so much more with so much less.
